Many Years of Good Service Left

My husband and I spent some time cleaning up and organizing our little garden shed today, and after I had a nice clean potting stand I was inspired to use it.  So I did a little gardening craft project today.  I had some hens and chickens that were in the wrong spot (my husband's wood splitting area) and so I decided I would make a little table arrangement out of them for our outdoor dining table.  I supplemented with a few purchased succulents, then I headed to the antique store to find a good vessel.  I found this little gem, and the price was right ($12.50).  It's an antique dish pan, and the tag read "many good years of service left".  So cute!

I dug up the hens and chickens I wanted moved and brought them into my garden shed.

Then I added some sand to the potting soil. I had no expert opinion to do so, I just thought that maybe succulents might appreciate it.

After the plants settle in a bit, I will have a lovely centerpiece for the patio table.  I love working in my new garden shed!
